I have a lot of travel coming up. Every year around this
time, I get torn between the need to visit CAP agencies and the need to be in
Washington. On the one hand, it is good for me to inform the network of my
work, to hear from CAPs and to raise money for our work. On the other hand, I
need to work Congress. Even with the little work getting done in Washington
this year, I am still pulled in two different directions. I try to limit my
travel and when I do travel, I am in and out quickly in order to get back to
DC. In DC, I try to pack my days to get as many appointments in as possible. I
still have mixed emotions. I know many of you understand as many of you have
said to me, “David, don’t travel. Just
make sure you come to our conference!”
